Cyberleek Threatens to Release Full GTA 6 Build Unless Meme Coin Hits $30 Million
Cyberleek, the anonymous leaker who has spent months drip-feeding GTA 6 development footage, escalated the situation dramatically this week with what they are calling a final ultimatum. In a public post, the leaker announced that if supporters can push the market cap of their self-branded meme coin to $30 million, they will release a full, playable build of GTA 6—story mode included, played all the way through to the end credits. The message was unambiguous: "CYBERLEEK hits 30 million marketcap, the build goes out—full story mode, played to the end, credits and all."
Cyberleek did leave an off-ramp for Rockstar and parent company Take-Two Interactive. The leaker stated the full-build release could be called off if Rockstar agrees to produce physical disc versions of GTA 6 for both PlayStation 5 and Xbox Series X/S and issues a public apology. The demand for physical media echoes a thread of grievances Cyberleek has expressed throughout their campaign, framing the leaks as a protest against digital-only distribution rather than straightforward extortion.
This is not the first time Cyberleek has attempted to monetize their alleged access. In late August, the leaker withdrew roughly $250,000 worth of their own meme coin, triggering an immediate market collapse among holders. Kotaku, which first reported the latest threat, notes that Cyberleek's previously leaked footage—including the 25-minute gameplay reel released in early October—contains details consistent with the authentic development build shown in Rockstar's own Netflix preview, lending credibility to claims that the leaker holds a genuine copy of the game.
With GTA 6 locked in for a November 19, 2026 release on PS5 and Xbox Series X, the window for this kind of damage is rapidly narrowing. Take-Two has not publicly responded to the latest demands, and no legal action specifically addressing the meme coin ultimatum has been announced. Fans and industry observers are watching closely to see whether the standoff produces another wave of leaks or simply fizzles out as the launch date draws near.
