Game Informer's GTA 6 Cover Story Is Live: 12 New Screenshots and Developer Interviews

Game Informer's long-anticipated 14-page Grand Theft Auto VI cover story is now live in its digital edition, giving players their most detailed look yet at Rockstar's upcoming open-world game ahead of its November 19, 2026 launch. Issue 382, available now via the Game Informer app, arrives with 12 exclusive new screenshots and sits-down interviews with several of Rockstar's lead designers conducted by senior associate editor Marcus Stewart — himself a South Florida native, lending the coverage an unusually personal lens.

Among the standout reveals is an in-depth look at GTA 6's dynamic weather simulation. Rockstar discussed engineering systems capable of recreating the full range of Florida's volatile climate, from oppressive heat to sudden, dramatic storms — weather that the studio says will have a tangible effect on how players experience the open world of Leonida. Alongside that, the feature details an expansive wildlife ecosystem populating the state across land, air, and sea, including both native and non-native species distributed throughout the environment.

The cover story also explores how Rockstar approached the cultural and aesthetic authenticity of Leonida and its modern reimagining of Vice City, describing the research the studio conducted in Miami and across South Florida to get the region right. Promotional cover artwork features protagonists Jason Duval and Lucia Caminos in a red car. Grand Theft Auto VI remains on track for a PlayStation 5 and Xbox Series X|S release on November 19, 2026, with no PC date yet announced.
