Miami Heat Announce Vice City Night on GTA 6 Launch Eve
The Miami Heat have announced a dedicated Vice City Night, scheduled for November 18, 2026 — the evening before Grand Theft Auto VI hits store shelves. The team will face the Milwaukee Bucks in a game that doubles as a marketing centrepiece for what Rockstar and Take-Two have called one of the most ambitious launch campaigns in gaming history. The matchup will air live on ESPN, ensuring the Vice City branding reaches an audience well beyond the Kaseya Center.
On the court level, the Heat are going all-in on the theme. The arena floor will feature a custom design created specifically for the event, and players will take the court in Vice City-inspired uniforms that have not yet been publicly revealed. Exclusive merchandise is also planned — some items tied to the broader GTA 6 collaboration at the Heat store have already sold out in anticipation.
The announcement builds on months of real-world marketing infrastructure in Miami. A large illuminated 'Welcome to Vice City' sign was recently completed atop the Kaseya Center exterior, and the Heat organisation has framed the game night as a 'historic partnership' and a 'never-been-done-before event.' For Rockstar, the timing is deliberate: placing a high-profile, nationally televised sports moment the night before launch is designed to keep GTA 6 top of mind in the final hours before players can buy it.
The Heat partnership is the latest in a string of real-world tie-ins Rockstar has pursued around Miami ahead of the November 19 release date. With the game widely expected to become one of the fastest-selling entertainment products of all time, the Vice City Night gives the city that inspired the game an on-screen moment to match.
