According to Bloomberg reporter Jason Schreier — speaking on his YouTube channel — those hoping for an online reveal anytime soon should temper their expectations. Schreier stated plainly that Rockstar has not discussed the subject internally with press and has no plans to do so in the near term, describing the company as treating the launch purely as a single-player event.

Schreier did not specify whether the information came from sources inside Rockstar or from his recent conversation with Take-Two CEO Strauss Zelnick, though his confidence in the assertion signals it comes from reliable channels. Zelnick himself, during the Q1 FY2027 earnings call on August 7, confirmed that Take-Two intends to continue supporting GTA Online alongside the new title — but gave no timeline for when a new GTA Online experience would be detailed or launched.

The omission is notable given the financial stakes. GTA Online has generated billions of dollars in revenue for Rockstar and Take-Two since its 2013 launch, and investors are keenly interested in what a next-generation version might look like. For now, it appears Rockstar is keeping its messaging tightly focused on the single-player campaign as November 19 approaches, with online details expected to come considerably later.
