GTA 6 Beer Brands Pißwasser and Patriot Get Real-World U.S. Government Approval
Three beers bearing Grand Theft Auto brands have cleared a major legal hurdle in the United States. U.S. Alcohol and Tobacco Tax and Trade Bureau (TTB) records show that Tripping Animals, a Florida-based craft brewery, received federal label approval for Pißwasser and Patriot — two fictional beer brands that have been a recurring joke in the GTA series for years — as well as a third, new lager called No Mames Vice City. The filings indicate TTB approved the Pißwasser label on September 29, Patriot on October 15, and No Mames Vice City on October 9, 2026.
The beers are listed at 4.2% ABV for both Pißwasser and Patriot, with the stronger No Mames Vice City lager checking in at 6%. Federal label approval is a required step before any alcoholic beverage can be sold commercially in the U.S., making the filings a concrete indicator that at least some form of retail or event release is being planned. However, neither Tripping Animals nor Rockstar Games has publicly confirmed a launch date, a price, or where the beers will be available.
The discovery was made by fans digging through the TTB's publicly searchable label approval database and was quickly picked up by gaming outlets. Given the timing — less than a month before GTA 6's November 19 launch on PlayStation 5 and Xbox Series X|S — and Rockstar's ongoing real-world Miami marketing campaign (which already includes working Burger Shot and Cluckin' Bell food stands at the Kaseya Center), a tie-in beer release would fit neatly into the studio's broader plan to bring Vice City's fictional brands to life.
Speculation points to a potential Miami-area debut, possibly at launch-night events or through local bars. Online availability is hoped for by fans but has not been confirmed. Pißwasser has appeared as an in-game beer brand in GTA titles since GTA IV, making it one of the most recognizable fictional alcoholic brands in the franchise — and the prospect of cracking one open on launch night has predictably electrified fans online.
